Carbon Neutral Experience 3.0 project (CNE 3.0) focuses on the development of cooperation between tourism companies, landowners and municipalities in Uusimaa region.
CNE 3.0 has three main objectives:
- To promote the use of regional carbon sinks to improve the carbon neutrality of tourism services in Uusimaa.
- To transform tourism services provided by Uusimaa-based companies into regenerative and carbon-neutral offerings.
- To develop multi-channel marketing practices for tourism companies in Uusimaa, making carbon-neutral tourism products and services more visible and attractive to international audiences.
Through collaboration between municipalities and companies, regenerative and carbon-neutral tourism services will be created for the region. At the same time, local tourism companies will be trained to communicate their sustainably produced services in compelling ways within the context of international multichannel marketing. This will increase the visibility and attractiveness of carbon-neutral tourism products and services.
The collaboration carried out during the project will also promote the preservation of carbon sinks in Uusimaa. A regional network of landowners, tourism companies, and municipalities will be established to identify and promote opportunities for new value creation and sustainable business development to contribute to the preservation of carbon sinks in Uusimaa. As a result of the network’s cooperation, a tourism service pilot project that strengthens the preservation of carbon sinks will be implemented in the Porvoo region.
Carbon Neutral Experience 3.0 will be carried out jointly with Posintra, Haaga-Helia UAS and Novia UAS. The project has received ERDF funding from Uudenmaan liitto. The project is co-funded by the European Union.
