The project aims to invigorate travel and hospitality industry in Eastern Finland by leveraging the potential of seaplane operations.
The project focuses on developing new product and service concepts to support the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the region, increase the number of visitors and enhance the international visibility of the Saimaa region. The project also explores the possibilities of electrifying seaplanes to promote sustainable development and strengthen the region's brand in both domestic and international markets.
Project Goals:
Improve the growth and competitiveness of SMEs in the Eastern Finland Lakeland region.
Develop an ecosystem around seaplane operations to support regional cooperation and internationalization.
Create synergies through networking to enhance marketing and innovation capabilities of businesses.
Strengthen the Saimaa region brand and increase its visibility in travel and hospitality markets.
Promote sustainable tourism by exploring the electrification of seaplanes.
