Digital Business Opportunities, Master's Specialisation
The Digital Business Opportunities specialisation prepares students to identify and utilise business opportunities offered by new digital technologies.
It provides a multi-disciplinary study platform for business development using digital technology. The specialisation enables students to assess the maturity of new technologies and apply them in the digital business transformation.
For example, the student may study the following themes in the specialisation:
• modern digital service design driven by customer experience
• artificial intelligence based analytics for business development
• business process rationalisation using robotic process automation
• business transformation based on new digital technologies and trends
The specialisation provides the student with generic technology knowledge which can be applied widely in any industry and business or in the public sector. The student is assumed to possess the skill of logical deduction but no prior programming skills are assumed. However, the student must be prepared to acquire the basic programming skills independently in case they are required in a course chosen by the student.
The specialisation is targeted at ICT professionals who want to specialise in business development, and at business developers who want to specialise in utilising new digital technology. The specialisation provides students with an excellent qualification for managerial and specialist positions in the field of digital business transformation. Examples of such job positions include: development manager, technology manager, business developer, digitalisation specialist and digital transformation consultant.

Master's Specialisation
Specialisation is at the heart of Master's degree studies. Master's degree studies consist mostly of specialisation studies and a thesis is based on the specialisation studies. A student’s specialisation also builds the home base for their professional development and networking.
Students choose their specialisation out of the available options at the start of their programme.
