The event is open to all and will be conducted in English.
Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences students are organising a panel discussion for students as part of the Duuniin.net event on 4 February 2026, focusing on the future of working life.
The panel discussion will delve into topical themes such as what happens when machines begin doing a manager's job. Can artificial intelligence replace human empathy and inspiration, or could it even become more popular than humans amongst staff? What skills will the future workplace require of young professionals?
The event will take place in the Haaga-Helia Pasila campus auditorium from 13:15 to 13:45 and is open to all. The language of the event is English. No advance registration is required.
The panel discussion will commence with a presentation by Anna Lahtinen, Senior Researcher at Haaga-Helia, introducing recent findings from the RoboBoss project, which reveal how Finns perceive algorithmic management and how AI is reshaping work and decision-making.
Following the research presentation, an expert panel will explore the ethical questions surrounding AI-driven management, its impact on employees' daily work, and future trends. The panellists represent broad expertise in management, technology, business, and education:
