Honorary Bachelor of Hospitality Management is a title awarded jointly by Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences Ltd. and Haagan Restonomit, the alumni community. The title is granted to a person who has made a distinguished contribution to managerial education in the hospitality and tourism industry. As external symbols of the honour, the recipient is presented with a framed diploma and a ceremonial chain of office. The gold-coloured medallion of the chain is suspended from a wide dark blue velvet ribbon.

Teemu Kokko began his career at Haaga Institute as a Senior Lecturer in Marketing in 1986 and, over the years, advanced to several leadership positions. The grounds for the award stated that Teemu has made a significant contribution to the education and development of the hospitality management field in Finland.

The Honorary Bachelor of Hospitality Management tradition began in 1989, when the first title was awarded to Vilhelm Noschis. The distinction is not usually granted annually but is awarded on milestone occasions and at celebratory events to individuals who have significantly advanced education, expertise and development in the field.

The plaques of the Honorary Bachelors of Hospitality Management are displayed in a place of honour in the main lobby of RestoCamp.
