At the event nearly 300 students got to know the diverse industry and the working life opportunities it offers. The fair involved nearly 40 companies, which offered students a great opportunity to network with future employers, and companies had the opportunity to get to know future employees and experts of the industry.

In addition to networking, students were also allowed to participate in LinkedIn and CV workshops at the fair, where they were able to refine and update their own profiles under the guidance of professionals.

Salla Ursin, Lecturer in Tourism at Haaga-Helia and Project Manager at RestoMessut, says that a project group of 10-person second-year Hospitality Management students at RestoMessut has worked hard to organize the fair.

– I was nervous about how students and companies would find their way to the fair after a break of three years. At first, there were few registered companies, but in the end, there were so many enrollees that to some we even had to say no, Ursin says.

Students in the project group say that the best thing about organizing the event has been to be able to do concrete things and promote the creation of the final event and the production of the whole event from start to finish. The groups have met once a month and have planned and carried out the event together.

– RestoMessut bring jobs and students together and offer really good opportunities for networking, the students say.

Eckerö Line's cruise host and Haaga-Helia alumn Simopekka Silventola was excited to attend after a three-year break.

– Haaga-Helia has a good reputation in business life, and it can also be seen here when so many companies have wanted to join, Silventola says.

He also says that the students have been enthusiastic and have come to talk and ask about Eckerö Line's activities.

– RestoMessut is definitely the best recruitment event in this area in all respects, and once again there is an amazing atmosphere here.
