What is PMC?
PMC (Project Management Championship) is an international competition organized by the International Project Management Association (IPMA) in collaboration with the Finnish Project Management Association (PRY). The competition is conducted in English and Haaga-Helia offers a 3-credit course to prepare you for it.
The competition is primarily for students under 35, but older students can also participate in the course (via Moodle), take the qualification round test, and earn the 3 credits. Haaga-Helia teams have won five times since 2020—could your team be next?
Gain valuable experience for your future career and network with like-minded individuals.
Many students have credited this competition with helping them secure more responsible job positions.
Participation provides a solid foundation for the D-level certificate test administered by PRY.
Form a team of 3-4 students (we can also form teams during the coaching sessions).
Enroll in the PMC course (ICB012AS2AE-3004) to access Moodle (available by January 13, 2025) and receive coaching for the competition. Enrollment is open until January 31, 2025.
Prepare for the qualification round by attending coaching sessions (2-4 sessions) and studying the materials available on Moodle.
Take the qualification test online by teams, open until February 23, 2025.
The top 6 teams nationally will advance to the mandatory final days:
Part 1: Online on March 11, 2025
Part 2: On-site in Espoo on March 28, 2025
The winning team will advance to the international final in June 2025 in Poland (2-3 days trip).
