We carry out network maintenance work as follows:
Monday 17 March and Wednesday 19 March
Monday 17 March network maintenance work is carried out at the Malmi campus. Local networks will have short breaks throughout the day and there will be a break in connections throughout the campus after 2 p.m. The outages relate to maintenance measures aimed at removing outdated network equipment and replacing them with a new one.
You can work during the break by sharing the network from your phone and using VDI.
On Wednesday 19 March between 13:00 and 16:00 , the old connection routers will be replaced with new ones, causing a short break (about 15min ) in the communications connections of all campuses (Pasila, Malmi, Haaga, Porvoo, Vierumäki). During the break, the internet connection of campuses does not work, which also affects VDI connections used from remote offices, for example.
On Wednesday afternoon, devices from the disk system will also be restarted, which should not affect users.
Microsoft 365 services (Outlook, Sharepoint, Teams) work normally during breaks, such as sharing a network connection over your own phone.
We try to keep the breaks short so that work can continue as normal as possible.
