Enrolment for autumn courses

Enrolment for the courses of the second period is open until October 16.  There are still places available on the following courses in the second period. Check the schedules in Timetable tool and enroll for the courses in PSP.

Cancel your unnecessary enrolments either yourself (in your PSP if the enrolment has not yet been accepted) or if the enrolment has been accepted by informing the teacher of the course as soon as possible.

Library’s trainings 

Library arranges training sessions for students. These sessions are open for anyone. Check library’s event calendar for more information. 

Library arranges also personal guidance sessions on information searching either online or at the library. For quick questions, book a time for Info Express (max. 15 min). If you need more help with your information searching, book a time for Personal Guidance Session. More information on library’s websites. 

‘Failed’ grade from the implementation  

If you have enrolled to a course, but cannot successfully pass all learning assignments within the course time frame, you will be evaluated with 0 (fail). The grade 0 will not be visible in your degree certificate and it will not affect the average. You can re-enrol for the same course in the post-enrolment. Remember to cancel your enrolment if you know that you are not going to complete a course you have enrolled to. 

Moodle workspaces 

The Moodle workspaces will be moved to the archives 7 months after the end of the course. If you want to use the materials/files at a later stage, always remember to save the files after the implementation has ended. 

Join Course Connect on September 16th 

Haaga-Helia's International Services and Career Services will organise an informative networking event to help our students and alumni learn how to network and why it is essential for finding employment. The goal of the event is to connect students in our degree programmes and exchange students at Haaga-Helia. 

During our Haaga-Helia Networking Day, we will have a mix of networking activities designed to connect students and a presentation from our networking expert and Haaga-Helia alum Pankaj Kumar (LinkedIn profile) (LinkedIn profile) of Test2Deploy. 

Following Pankaj's presentation, we will have a pitching competition where students will have the opportunity to win movies and pitch their ideas to Pankaj. 

Event Details 

The event will be held on 16 September (16.9) from 14.30–16.30 on Haaga-Helia's Pasila campus, Ratapihantie 13, 00520 Helsinki, in Room 2008. Please note this event is held in English and is open to all students.

Language Café 

Would you like to practice speaking Finnish in a relaxed and friendly setting? Library’s Language Café starts on Thursday, 17 September, and everyone learning Finnish is welcome, no matter their skill level. 

At the Language Café, we chat about everyday topics, meet new people, and practise Finnish over a cup of coffee or tea. You are welcome to join even if you only know a few words of Finnish. The most important thing is that you come along and give it a try. We meet at the library every Thursday from 14.00 to 15.00 in Room Aatos (3202).
