Haaga-Helia offers Open UAS studies free of charge for unemployed or furloughed

Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences offers courses to unemployed and furloughed employees free of charge in the Open UAS during the autumn semester 2021.

Studying at the Open University of Applied Sciences is free of charge in the autumn semester 2021 for those who are unemployed or furloughed without salaries as they enrol for studies. The offer also applies to entrepreneurs who have become unemployed due to the coronavirus and have the status of an unemployed job applicant when they enrol for studies.

Studies at the Open University of Applied Sciences are available for everyone regardless of age, citizenship or educational background.

Now there is even a larger selection of courses, which you can complete during the daytime, in the evening, or online. There are courses also in English. Please note that you need to prove your English language skills. 

In Open UAS, you can develop your skills in many different fields or acquire new competences required at work. Later, your studies can be accredited if you decide to apply to the degree programme in Open Path application and get admitted.

Enrolment for new students for the autumn semester starts 4 August 2021 at 9 am. The autumn semester lasts until 31 December 2021.  Please attach your lay-off or employment relationship termination certificate when applying as an employed or furloughed. A certificate from your local Employment and Economic Development Office (TE Office) is also accepted.
