1 247 graduates joined the growing alumni network

Of the 1 247 students who graduated during the spring semester, 1 026 had earned a bachelor’s degree and 221 had earned a master’s degree. Upon graduation, they became part of Haaga-Helia’s alumni community, which has already over 50 000 members.

At the ceremony, President Susanna Niinistö-Sivuranta gave a welcome address to the graduates. In her speech, she emphasized that earning a degree is a significant achievement, but also marks the beginning of a new phase. Higher education equips students with the skills for critical thinking, continuous learning, and innovations, even in a changing world of work.

Haaga-Helia alumna Aicha Manai congratulated the graduates. In her speech, Manai described how the skills she acquired at Haaga-Helia have served her well in various job roles and situations, though in a slightly different way than she had originally anticipated. She reminded the graduates that career paths do not always go according to plan, but that even setbacks offer opportunities for learning and growth.

Awards for distinguished achievements

At the graduation ceremony, scholarships were awarded to outstanding students. Scholarships were awarded to a total of 70 graduating students, 40 of whom received their scholarships at the ceremony.
