Career Guidance 2022 seminar interested the public at Haaga-Helia

The Career Guidance in Finland 2022 seminar was held on Thursday 17 November 2022 at the Haaga-Helia's Pasila campus.

The themes of the transformation of working life and renewing competence interested the audience, as the event attracted a top number of participants. In total, the hybrid event brought together 365 participants, about a third of whom had arrived at Pasila auditorium.

The seminar was opened by Minna Hiillos, Rector of Haaga-Helia, after which the inspiring performances of Leena Pöntynen, Director of Education in the Technology Industry, and Sauli Puukari, Docent of Education at the University of Jyväskylä, were heard.

The themes of the afternoon workshops included the internationalisation of guidance, the guidance of jobseekers at the university, and lifelong guidance and competence development as life situations changed.

The seminar also heard the greetings of Minister Tuula Haatainen via video.

The free event was open to anyone interested in career guidance and was organized by Haaga-Helia School of Vocational Teacher Education and Nordic Network for Adult Learning together with an extensive network.
