The evening’s schedule began with an orientation session, which included greetings from President Teemu Kokko and Degree Director Risto Karmavuo. Their speeches shared memories and nostalgia from the Haaga campus, which will relocate to Tripla in Pasila next year. As noted, a student may leave Haaga, but Haaga never leaves the student – the Haaga spirit was still considered an important and guiding force.

Crash courses led into shared moments of the evening

The program featured evening school crash courses where alumni could refresh their skills. Topics included a wine lecture, finance and language quizzes, cross-cultural bingo, and creative Lego building. At the bar, guests could enjoy a drink prepared by students. In addition, there were presentations on Haaga-Helia’s Open University of Applied Sciences, continuing education, master’s degree studies, and partnership activities.

The evening concluded with detention – a buffet prepared by students, offering a chance to indulge in their creations. Finally, the students were rewarded for organizing the event. Alumni were delighted to reconnect after a long time and eagerly networked with each other.

The atmosphere was relaxed and warm, and the student-prepared delicacies were praised. The event was organized by second-year students of restaurant business.
