Bachelor of Hospitality Management of the Year 2022 is Anders Löfman

Anders Löfman, CEO of CMB Restaurants, is the 23rd Bachelor of Hospitality Management of the Year.

The Bachelor of Hospitality Management of the Year award is a credit to a Bachelor of Hospitality Management graduate from Haaga-Helia who has paved the way for future professionals with their innovativeness and by setting a good example. The choice is made by "Haagan Restonomit", the support association of Haaga-Helia's graduates from the Haaga campus.

The title was handed over to Löfman at the annual celebration of the Haaga's campus student association Pore ry at Ritarihuone on 28 January 2023.

Long-term professional

Anders Löfman is an experienced restaurant professional whose career has been upbeat. He has worked, for example, in the opening teams of various restaurants and in line manager positions.

Löfman's first CEO position was in 2010 at Confetti Restaurants Ltd. From 2015 to 2022, he was responsible for several classic restaurants and was the managing director of Carelia, Kuu and KuuKuu Helsinki-Ravintoloiden.

In March 2022, Löfman joined his current position as CEO of CMB Restaurants. Löfman has completed both Bachelor's (Restonomi, AMK) and Master's (Restonomi, YAMK) degrees in Haaga-Helia in 2010 and 2017.

Previous recipients of the "The Bachelor of Hospitality Management of the Year" honour include: Yoseph Youssef of NoHo Partners, Heidi Kilpiä of Pamplemousse travel agency, Maarit Vepsäläinen, HR Director at McDonald's Finland, Evon Blomstedt, founder and owner of Event Hotel Room, Ville Relander, restauratant owner, and Timo Kousa, CEO of Suntours Oy.

Haaga-Helia's Haaga campus is Finland's largest educator of Bachelors of Hospitality Management. Haaga's campus has been providing hotel, restaurant and tourism management training since 1969. The Finnish-language title of restonomi (in English Bachelor of Hospitality Management) was introduced in 1982.
