The autumn joint application period has ended – Haaga-Helia has the most priority applicants

In the autumn joint application, 13 799 applicants applied to Haaga-Helia's bachelor and master studies. 7 643 applicants had chosen Haaga-Helia as their preferred study place, which means over 20 percent more priority applicants compared to last year. In terms of priority applicants, Haaga-Helia was the most attractive university of applied sciences in this application round. The total number of study places for studies starting in January is 873, which means that there is an average of 9 priority applicants for every study place at Haaga-Helia.

The most sought-after study programmes in Finland

The most popular study option at Haaga-Helia, and at the same time in all of Finland, was the Business Information Technology programme leading to the Bachelor of Business Administration degree, for which there were 6 721 applicants (159 priority applicants/study place). Haaga-Helia's International Business programme was the second most popular degree programme in Finland with 6 229 applicants (73 priority applicants/study place).

New degree programmes attracted applicants

In the autumn joint application, Haaga-Helia offered ten bachelor's degree programmes and seven master's degree programmes in Finnish and English. Two new degree programmes were also open for application. The virtual Strategic Hospitality Management studies, leading to a Bachelor's degree, was the most attractive hospitality programme in terms of priority applicants (in total 2 156 applicants). The AI for Business Transformation programme, a joint master's degree with our Ulysseus European University partners, was one of the most attractive master degree programmes (530 applicants).

After the application period

The bachelor's degree programmes use the International UAS exam as selection method. The exam is organised online on 7 November from 12:00 onwards (Finnish time). The exam does not include any advance reading materials or pre-assignments.
