Eevastiina Gjerstad works as a researcher and teacher trainer in School of Vocational Teacher Education. By education, she is a Doctor of Education and Master of Theology.
Gjerstad does applied research in areas of emotional AI, interaction, group processes, and learning, and also works as a teacher trainer. Her specific areas of expertise include interaction and group processes, pedagogy and educational sciences, social power, social influence, and ethical issues.
Gjerstad has worked before Haaga-Helia at the University of Helsinki, the Humanistic University of Applied Sciences (Humak), in the public and third sectors, in congregations, and in the (business) training field. She has also written non-fiction books as well.
