Opintojakso on tarkoitettu opiskelijoille, joiden suomen kielen taito on vähintään tasolla B1.1. eli sinulla on kohtalainen suomen kielen taito tavallisissa työn ja vapaa-ajan tilanteissa ja joiden äidinkieli tai koulusivistyskieli on muu kuin suomi.

Opintojaksolla opiskelija tunnistaa oman suomen kielen taitonsa tason kielen eri osa-alueilla. Opiskelija määrittelee omat tavoitteensa kielitaidon kehittämiseksi ja laatii suunnitelman siitä, miten hän pääsee tavoitteisiinsa. Opiskelija oppii käyttämään erilaisia menetelmiä, lähteitä, apuvälineitä ja vuorovaikutustilanteita kielenoppimisen tukena. Opintojakso sisältää ryhmän yhteisiä verkkotapaamisia kerran viikossa, itsenäisesti tehtäviä oppimistehtäviä ja testejä sekä henkilökohtaisen ohjauskeskustelun opettajan kanssa.
