The 3AMK study offer consists of learning lanes, intensive courses, and language studies. Through the 3AMK, you can enroll in language studies organized by 3UAS and Aalto University. 3AMK students are accepted for Aalto University’s courses if the courses have space. 3AMK’s goal is to offer learning lanes in Finnish and English, but unfortunately, all the autumn lanes have one or more courses in Finnish.

Intensive courses are work-based implementations of 5-10 ECTS, where projects are often implemented for different organizations. Learning lanes are study units of 15 ECTS that last for the entire semester. In learning lanes, each UAS organizes the implementation of one 5 ECTS course for the study unit.

Intensive implementations in summer 2022

• Climate Launchpad, 5 ECTS, bachelor's and master’s degree students

Do you have a business idea you’d like to develop and bring forth? Is your idea related to the circular economy or sustainable development? Climate Launchpad is the world’s largest green business idea competition, designed to create a platform for business ideas related to the circular economy. This year’s themes include sustainable mobility, the circular economy, urban solutions, clean energy, food systems, adaptability and flexibility, blue economy (e.g., ideas related to tourism that don’t compromise the environmental sustainability of coastal areas and seas), and the next big thing.

Your idea can be anything related to climate change, as long as it’s a scientific innovation in the field of clean technology, that uses existing technology to do more with fewer resources and has commercial power!

In the intensive course, you can work on your ideas to fight climate change and develop your idea while receiving business coaching and training for pitching. This year’s program has been planned and executed together with the Entrepreneurship Societies of 3UAS.

• Innovation project MINNO®, 10 ECTS for 2. and 3. year ICT students

The aim of the course is to learn how to innovate new products, services, or operating models together for the work-based needs of companies, organizations, and projects. In the course, students will work in a multidisciplinary team with students from different degrees. At the end of the course, students will showcase their innovative projects to the world of work, the school community, and the Helsinki city business advisors. The course lasts for 7 weeks.

• Intercultural service experience, 2 ECTS, master’s degree students

Would you like to grow an international network and sturdy and visit cultural and touristic services with French students? In the implementation, you’ll accompany the French student group as a cultural host in local touristic and cultural services in Helsinki for three days. In the implementation, you analyze services from a cultural perspective, analyze the value creation and application of services, and the experience economy. As a student, you gain a lot from an international perspective, e.g., in terms of interaction and you’ll learn to analyze services from an intercultural perspective.
