Summer studies and CampusOnline

Summer studies are a good way to advance studies. Master level summer courses can be found here. There are still places left for most of the summer implementations. The enrollment ends at 4.00 pm on the Friday of the week before the implementation begins.

NB! Summer course ‘Viestinnän ajankohtaiset suuntaukset’ has been changed to online implementation. The theme of the course is 'Viestinnän etiikka'.

As a Haaga-Helia student, you can choose courses provided by Haaga-Helia UAS but also CampusOnline virtual courses. CampusOnline summer courses have been published on 27.2.2023 and the enrollment has started.

Implementations of the 4th period

There is still time to enroll for the implementations of the 4th period and most of them still have places left. NB! From Services to Experiences and Transformations (EXP4HM102-3004) has been changed to online evening implementation.

Master Summer School

The 3AMK Summer School is an intensive course for Master´s degree students. The main topic of course is “Leadership Skills for a Changing World”. In 2023, we will focus on the following sub-topics: Inclusive leadership & collaborative practices, leading cultural change and leading a self-managing organisation. The course will be organised online, and it will be executed in English. Read more and enroll here

Updating the Personal Study Plan (PSP)

The instructions for updating the PSP will be sent to your email by your guidance counsellor during March. Please read the instructions carefully. It’s good to update the PSP after the course offering for the next academic year has been published.

‘Failed’ grade from the implementation

If you have enrolled to a course, but cannot successfully pass all learning assignments within the course time frame, you will be evaluated with 0 (fail). The fail grade will not be visible in your degree certificate and you can re-enrol for the same course later. Please also remember to cancel your enrolment if you know that you are not going to complete a course you have enrolled to.

Changes to guidance counsellor’s team

Guidance Counsellor Janne Mertala has transferred to another employer in the beginning of March. Senior Lecturer Tesi Binder will be responsible Guidance Counsellor for Sustainable Aviation Business (AVBUM) students and  Leadership and Human Resource Management specialisation. The special needs teacher for English speaking students is Senior Lecturer Niina Koivisto.

Master Thesis workshops

Master thesis workshops are available every semester and are open to all students. The topics, schedule and enrollment instructions can be found from Master student’s webpages under ‘Thesis workshops’. You can find support and information from Master student's pages and on the Applied Design Research course. If you don’t have a thesis topic yet, remember to participate in the Master seminar of your specialisation where you can get support for ideation. The next seminar is on 11.4. in English. AVBUM’s next seminar is on 12.4. NB! If you want to start your thesis before summer there are still places left on two Applied Design Research implementations (RDI2HM101-3021 online evening in period 4, RDI2HM101-3023 virtual summer implementation).
