Graduation 

You can apply for graduation when all the required credits and your thesis are registered. If you intend to graduate in June, apply for graduation on 3rd of June at the latest. Your thesis must be submitted for evaluation on Monday 20 May 2024 at the latest. Please note that it is not possible to graduate in July. After June 3rd, the application for graduation opens in August. Everyone who applied for graduation during the spring can attend the graduation ceremony on 14 June. 

Updating the PSP & enrolment for autumn –24 studies 

The guidance counsellors will approve PSPs by the end of April. The specific timetables for autumn 2024 will be published on 8.5. in Timetable tool (Lukkarikone). The enrolment for autumn 2024 begins on 15 May at 8.00 and ends on 23 May at 16.00. The second enrolment begins on 3 June at 8.00 and ends at 16.00 on the Friday of the week before the implementation begins. 

Enrolment for attendance/non-attendance 2024-2025 and right to study 

Students have to enrol for attendance/non-attendance each academic year. Enrol as present or absent for the following academic (2024-2025) year in Peppi during 2 April–14 June 2024. Master student’s right to study is 6 semesters = 3 years. At the beginning of studies the statutory study time of 2 years is entered in the PSP. If the student's statutory study time has been fulfilled and the student is still attending the fourth semester, a one year's extension to complete student’s studies is automatically added to PSP. In this case, the study time in PSP is also updated from two years to three years. 

Spring in Finland event 11.4. 

This event will help international degree and exchange students learn more about local municipal services and spring activities in the capital region. Spring in Finland event will be held at Pasila Library (near Haaga-Helia's Pasila campus) in collaboration with the City of Helsinki and Pasila Library on Thursday 11 April from 14.00 to 16.00. During the event, attendees can delve deeper into the Helsinki Metropolitan Library System (HelMet) and explore the exciting spring and summer activities offered by the City of Helsinki. Please note this event takes place off campus at Pasila Library (Kellosilta 9). 

Student unions Helga and IDS will also be present at the event to introduce Vappu and their spring activities for students. Interested students can register now to attend Spring in Finland. More information on Haaga-Helia's website

New virtual summer course 

DIG4HM110-3001 Knowledge Management and Leadership, 6.5.2024 - 16.8.2024 

The course is self-paced, with students working online individually or in groups. Upon completion of this course, the student can recognize the importance of Knowledge Management (KM) and Information Management for the organization and can apply and understand KM processes, methods and theories and recognize KM as an organizational resource that is managed to support business development. The course topics include study cases and practices. 

The students of Digital Business Opportunities specialisation can include the course to specialisation studies while the students of other specialisations can include the course to free-choice studies.

There are also places left in other Master summer implementations. The enrolment ends on Fri 17 May. 

Master thesis 

The thesis should be started at the beginning of the third semester i.e. second study year the latest. You can find support and information from Master thesis web page and on the Applied Design Research course. If you don’t have a thesis topic yet, remember to participate in the Master seminar of your specialisation where you can get support for ideation. The last Master seminar in the spring semester will be organised on 22nd of April in English in Teams or Zoom. Head of the specialisation will send students the meeting information/link.
