COMPASS Transferable Skills for Research & Innovation Conference - call for abstracts is open!

Conference objectives

The Conference aims to bring together early-stage and experienced researchers to share their work affiliated with Ulysseus European University Innovation Hub topics:

1. Sustainable energy, transport, mobility for smart cities
2. Ageing & wellbeing
3. Tourism, arts & heritage
4. Sustainable entrepreneurship and impact
5. Digitalization, robotics and cybersecurity transforming the future
6. Applied AI for business and education
7. Socio-ecological sustainability

The COMPASS Conference offers the participants an international forum that involves peers from all eight Ulysseus partner universities. Participants will have the chance to present their work-in-progress projects or completed research papers, either in person or online. The scope of the research work is not restricted, and includes conceptual, empirical, and position papers.

In addition to the presentation of papers, workshops, roundtables and interactive sessions aiming to enhance early-stage researcher skills will be organized. We also encourage participants who do not present their paper to take part in these.

The subjects of the interactive sessions are:

• Open science, open data & IPR
• Research ethics & integrity
• How to get your paper published
• Participating in EU projects
• Gender & inclusiveness
• Conference presentation skills, self-management & self-leadership in research
• How to develop researchers’ careers
