Haaga-Helia celebrates the graduation of its School of Vocational Teacher Education at the beginning of May. After a break of several pandemic years, we finally got to celebrate together at Haaga-Helia. Nearly 200 graduates celebrated on site at the Pasila campus. The celebrations included a speech by Jari Laukia, Director of the School of Vocational Teacher Education, to the new teachers and many presentations by the students.

This year, 219 students have already graduated from Haaga-Helia's one-year teacher training programme, 16 of whom graduated from the International Vocational Teacher group. Haaga-Helia also offers teacher training in Porvoo and Turku, whose campuses also hosted graduation ceremonies this week.

After the covid years, the number of graduates from Haaga-Helia has started to rise, as has the attractiveness of the university's teacher training programme. Haaga-Helia was the most attractive vocational teacher trainer in Finland in January. The number of starting positions has increased in recent years, and a record 340 new teacher students will begin their studies in May.
