Haaga-Helia offers a number of meetings, activities, and events to support our international degree students. Below you can find information about our upcoming actions for the 2024 Spring semester. Starting in February 2024 on Wednesday we offer different weekly meetings and support for international students.
Monthly online meetings for international students
Online Q&As
Haaga-Helia organises monthly hour-long online Q&A sessions for international students. You can ask questions about Finnish culture, employment, things to do in Finland, weather, food, or whatever topic suits your needs. Please note that while we will try to answer most questions you have, please do not share any personal details during our Q&As. These Q&As will take place during the second Wednesday of every month starting in February 2024. These sessions will take place on Teams.
Employment webinars
On the last Wednesday of every month, we hold a one-hour online meeting to help students learn more about how to find employment in Finland. We will cover topics like CV, LinkedIn, and keeping motivated during the job search process. These meetings take place on Teams and are held in English. Students do not need to make an appointment to attend these sessions.

Networking practice
This semester we will host three networking sessions to help students learn how to network and why networking is important. Each session will have a practice part, where students can put theory into practice and gain confidence through experience.

International master's student meetups
Haaga-Helia is hosting in-person meetings for international master's degree students. Each meeting will be 90 minutes, have a theme, and offer a space for master's students to ask questions, network, and learn about local cultural and professional events.

Upcoming events
Company Visit
Haaga-Helia is organising a company visit for aimed for INTBAA students specialising in Account and Finance. The visit will take place on 11 April (11.4) at 13.00.
Spring in Finland
Spring in Finland is an event organised in collaboration with the City of Helsinki and Pasila Library. It will introduce students to the library services, events that take place in Finland in spring and summer, and Vappu.
The event will take place on 11.4 from 14.00 – 16.00 at Pasila Library (Kellosilta 9). Please note this event takes place off campus at the City of Helsinki's Pasila library.
