Restricted thesis collection in Theseus

Some universities of applied sciences have started using a restricted thesis collection in Theseus, in addition to the Open Access collection. This new Theseus feature does not have a direct effect in Haaga-Helia’s thesis publication process. In the future, some theses from other universities of applied sciences can no longer be freely accessed in Theseus.

The full text of theses in the Open Access collection of Theseus can be read in pdf format. Theses in the restricted collection can only be read from IP addresses specified by the university of applied sciences. The metadata and abstracts of theses are freely available in both collections.

The restricted thesis collection is used by KAMK, LAB, Laurea, Oamk, SAMK, SeAMK, Savonia, and TAMK. Their students can choose which collection to upload their theses to.

Theseus is the largest open repository in Finland. It is owned by Arene ry - the Rectors' Conference of Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences. Theseus is jointly administered by AMKIT Consortium, Theseus Office and the National Library of Finland.
