International IT Seminar for students held for the 16th time at Haaga-Helia

32 IT students from Universidad de Madrid in Spain, HES-SO - Haute Ecole Spécialisée de Suisse occidentale in Switzerland and Haaga-Helia gathered in Pasila. The annual seminar takes place alternately at each higher education institution.

– The aim of the seminar is to bring together IT students from three different countries to tackle common challenges and to get them working in multicultural teams for the seminar week. Every year the experience has been excellent, says Heikki Hietala, a lecturer who has been involved in organising the seminar since 2006.

Each higher education institution has its own theme day during the week, which is tackled in smaller teams. On Tuesday 2 April, the theme was "The use of artificial intelligence in criminal investigation. During the week-long seminar, students will also visit IT companies.
