Haaga-Helia continues vocational teacher training in Pretoria, South Africa

The collaboration continues with the Haaga-Helia's partner university, Tshwane University of Technology, in Pretoria, South Africa. Thirty-eight new students started in in a 60-credits wide Vocational Teacher Education Programme in January. The students graduate as vocational teachers from a year-long program.

Since 2015, vocational teachers have been trained in Pretoria, South Africa, from the teacher training programme. Only last year was missed due to coronapandemic, but all teaching will take place remotely during this year 2021.

The Haaga-Helia School of Vocational Teacher Education has many partner universities in countries such as South Korea, Austria, Germany and Estonia. In 2019, the collaboration took a new direction when Haaga-Helia started Training the Trainers Programme, where participants become teacher trainers.
