Do you wish to gain more international experience but cannot go abroad in the upcoming semester? At Haaga-Helia we are offering the possibility for a virtual exchange and studying online at Haaga-Helia.
Virtual exchange in a nutshell
The Virtual Exchange courses are free of charge and available only for the students in Haaga-Helia's partner schools. We offer both virtual and online courses.
Virtual = No scheduled lessons, only independent studying. The courses do not require participation in live lessons, which allows students from all time zones to complete courses similarly.
Online: Scheduled online lessons with a student group.
General eligibility criteria: CEFR B2 English, relevant study background, and the ability to participate in courses conducted in virtual platforms.
Apply
In the application, we ask for basic information and a transcript of records, as well as a list of courses you want to join. Please find the course listing from our study guide: Virtual exchange course offer
There is no limit to the number of courses you can choose to participate in during the virtual exchange. Usually, students choose 3-35 ECTS in total for their virtual exchange.
Please note that we cannot guarantee that you can join every course, as virtual exchange students are enrolled in courses in the second enrolment period.
Please ask your home university to nominate you by email to exch@haaga-helia.fi by 2 June 2024 (for autumn exchange) / 1 December 2024 (for spring exchange) and fill in the application form by 12 June 2024 (for autumn exchange) / 11 December 2024 (for spring exchange).
