Graduates were celebrated in ceremonies across three campuses

Graduating students were celebrated with traditional festivities on the Haaga, Porvoo and Vierumäki campuses. The ceremonies were attended by hundreds of graduates and their loved ones.
– It's great that the ceremony was organised. I really liked the alumni of the year Bambi Dang's speech. It made me reflect on my own life: things don't happen to me, but for me, fresh Bachelor of Business Administration Marian Vo said in Haaga.
All the celebrations on different campuses included musical performances and speeches. At the end of the celebrations, degree directors handed out diplomas and scholarships in traditional fashion, followed by coffee and cake.
Last paper diplomas
The graduation ceremonies had a touch of history as the last paper diplomas were handed out. Haaga-Helia will switch to electronic degree certificates from January 2024. These ceremonies were also the last ones held on campuses for the time being. Next spring, we will organise a bigger, joint graduation party together in Helsinki – more information will follow later.
During the autumn semester, almost 1 700 students graduate from Haaga-Helia. Nearly 1 400 students graduate as Bachelors of Business Administration, Bachelors of Hospitality Management, Bachelors of Business Administration (IT), Bachelors of Sports Studies or Bachelors of Culture and Arts. Almost 300 students graduate from master's programmes.
The figure for the whole year climbs to more than 2 100 graduates with a Bachelor's or Master's degree. In addition, nearly 400 people complete a training of vocational teachers, vocational special needs teachers or vocational guidance counsellors.
