The Finnish Student Sports Federation (OLL) is the national umbrella organisation for higher education sports and student athletics. It supports higher education institutions in developing services that promote physical activity and movement. The membership provides Haaga-Helia with expert support for everyday sports services, up-to-date research information, advocacy support, and access to network meetings and training sessions.
The collaboration also opens new opportunities for students, such as the right to participate in the Finnish Student Championships, international sporting events such as the European and World University Championships, as well as low-threshold competitive activities. Through OLL, Haaga-Helia also has representation in the Finnish Olympic Committee, the European University Sports Association (EUSA), and the International University Sports Federation (FISU).
Through the membership, Haaga-Helia becomes part of the national University on the Move network, which promotes students’ physical activity conditions and wellbeing. OLL supports higher education institutions in developing sports services, advocacy work, and the overall physical activity culture of campuses.
The collaboration is expected to strengthen Haaga-Helia as a wellbeing-oriented higher education community and to bring greater visibility and support for the development of an active and sports-oriented higher education institution.
