We are deleting old Sharepoint / Teams files

There are hundreds of thousands in the Sharepoint/Teams environment, closer to a million old and obviously rejected files. We have gone through the logic of automatically deleting old files and then freeing up space and lowering the verification costs.

On Thursday 4 December 2025, we will use automation to delete old data. As a rule, the files are used for practice and studying, and the authors have left the house and only one member or teacher has remained in the group for whom the information has been authorized.

We regularly remove ownerless groups and this cleaning completes this work.

If you find that your important file has disappeared, you can still get the file restored from backups during the spring.
