Course Connect: Future Skills for ICT Career Days

Haaga-Helia's Career Services and International Services are excited to organize our second annual ICT career event, Course Connect Future Skills for ICT. This two-day event will include a prep day and our Course Connect Future Skills for ICT event.

About the Prep Day

The event will occur on Monday, 21 October, from 14.00-16.00. The event will take place in room 1001 on Haaga-Helia's Pasila campus. Students can also attend the event via our online meeting link (link to Teams meeting).

In this event, students can learn more about what recruiters look for in a job application and interview and learn essential networking skills to prepare for Wednesday's event.

During the event, students can learn more about the process of applying for a job, what companies look for, and how the relocation process works in practice. Students will also have the opportunity to ask questions.

The second half of the event will cover networking. Students will get networking tips and tricks to prepare for Wednesday's Course Connect: Future Skills for ICT event.

About Future Skills for ICT

Our main event for the week will focus on helping our students meet, connect, and network with companies. Course Connect: Future Skills for ICT will occur on Wednesday, 23.10, from 11.30-16.00.

Six local companies from the ICT sector will be on campus to share their ideas about what skills, platforms, and tools will be valuable in the future. This insight into the skills required for the ICT work of tomorrow is aimed at helping our students navigate their study paths and map their plans.

Following the company presentations, students will have the opportunity to network with company representatives. Students can discuss what skills will be relevant in their field and learn more about working for a company in Finland.

This event is divided into two sessions, 11.30-13.30 and 14.00-16.00. In the first session, we will have three company presentations and then 1 hour for students to network. After a 30-minute break, the schedule will be repeated with three new companies.
