Description
The student plans and implements together with a team a marketing communication project based on client organization’s needs and requirements. The student familiarizes him/herself with the client organization according to the brief received and conducts a market analysis. He/she uses data/analytics as a part of creative planning, concept creation and content planning. The student works successfully with a student team and the client organization.

Learning objectives and assessment
Grade 1-2:
The student

  • has an understanding of the elements involved in digital marketing communication planning and implementation
  • takes the needs of the client organization into account and works according to them in the project
  • brings his/her creative ideas into the project
  • takes part in both project and team work

Grade 3-4:
The student

  • has an good general understanding of the elements involved in digital marketing communication planning and implementation
  • understands the needs of the client organization and takes them well into account in the project
  • brings his/her own data/analytics based creative ideas into the project
  • takes an active part in both project and team work

Grade 5:
The student

  • has an excellent understanding of the elements involved in digital marketing communication planning and implementation
  • understands in depth the needs of the client organization and takes them successfully into account in the project
  • can make a significant contribution to the project with his/her own data/analytics based creative ideas
  • takes responsibility of the project and team work as a whole

Recognising and validating prior learning (RPL)
If the student has acquired the required competence in previous work tasks, recreational activities or on another course, s/he can contact the teacher in charge of the course to agree on how to show the competence. Working life connections
The students plan and implement a project as part of the operations of Creative Agency Krea (www.krea.fi)

International dimension
The marketing and communication project can be done for an international organization or to a Finnish organization with international business scope or network.

Learning Methods
Students provide marketing and communications services to client companies and/or other cooperation partners as part of the operations of Creative Agency Krea (www.krea.fi).
The students learn to take entrepreneurial responsibility for planning and implementing the projects as agreed with the client/cooperation partner. 

Assessment
Passing the course requires commitment to the team work and contact sessions. The grade is based on the communications materials produced (50 %) and on the student’s own commitment and attitude (50 %).
