Developing Entrepreneurial Mindset is perfect when you have an idea, and you would like to see if it’s worth advancing. During the course you will also think about yourself as an entrepreneur. By taking the first steps to define and develop the idea towards feasible business, you will start building your own entrepreneurial path. You also analyse and start to extend your entrepreneurial network during this course.

Coaching is a learning process, in which the coach and the student have goal-oriented, confidential discussions on topics which are important and relevant to the student. StartUp School can offer you a coach in entrepreneurship. This means five meetings either live or online with your coach, and assignments related to your goals.

You can start the course, if  you have completed the course Developing Entrepreneurial Mindset (WOR8HH022), or you have a well-defined business idea, or an ongoing business.

Enrollment: email startupschool@haaga-helia.fi and explain your business idea, and targets and development areas for the coaching. Those could be for example business development, developing your personal entrepreneurial skills, communication, team management skills, budgeting etc.

Workshops for Action gives you practical skills to develop your business idea or ongoing business further. In most of the workshops you should have at least some kind of a business idea to work with.

To earn 5 credit points, enroll on MyNet, pick 5 workshops of choice from StartUp School Action Workshops, and complete a learning portfolio at your own pace. You will get access to the Moodle page and see detailed instructions for completing the course while attending the workshops. You can include 1–2 Xes events in your portfolio (to include other external workshops, please check them with StartUp School team before attending: startupschool@haaga-helia.fi).

Work & Study for Entrepreneurs is for students who want to develop their own business idea or ongoing business. In practice it means that you work and develop your own business, participate in Work & Study meetings and report your learning the way you have planned together with your Work & Study counselor. The plan and the combination of studies is always personal, so by Work & Study you can do larger entities or just 5 ECTS. You can start your Work & Study process any time of the year.

In general, Work & Study is a process where skills required by the degree are gained by working and connecting practical work with a theme-related knowledge base. In addition to paid work also volunteering or hobby activity can be used. You can do both compulsory and elective studies through work-based learning, if your work tasks support your degree programme’s learning goals.
