Information for the new students of DP in Hospitality, Tourism and Experience Management

Dear new student,

Congratulations! Your academic abilities, energy and creativity are recognized and appreciated. You are one of the applicants accepted to the Degree Programme in Hospitality, Tourism and Experience Management (HOTEM) at Haaga-Helia UAS, Haaga Campus!

3.5 years and 210 ECTS credits from now you will graduate with a Bachelor of Hospitality Management degree. This journey that you are starting will be challenging and exciting and it will bring you memorable experiences and real-world learning.

Please read through the instructions found on General Materials for New Students page very carefully for information about

  • how to accept your study place
  • enrolling for the academic year
  • submitting all necessary documents (including copies of your school certificates) to ensure your study place.


Beginning of your studies - Orientation Days

The studies are kicked off on the compulsory Orientation Days, from Tuesday to Friday 13-16 August 2019 starting at 8:00am.

The compulsory Orientation Days for the new students will be held at Haaga campus, Pajuniityntie 11, 00320 Helsinki. The purpose is to give an overview of the studies at the Haaga-Helia UAS and meet your future classmates, teachers and other staff members. Courses for autumn 2019 will start on Monday, 19 August 2019. Students are required to be present on all the Orientation Days for study registration purposes. Absence caused by illness or other compelling reasons must be reported to the Student Affairs Office of Haaga Campus soonest possible.

If you have enrolled as present please bring your original certificates and translations to the Orientation Days at Haaga Campus in August at the latest or present them at the Admission Services in Pasila before the orientation days. Please bring your official ID (valid passport or Finnish official ID card or Finnish Driving License or EU/EEA country Identity Card) to the Orientation Days.

Please note that you are required to have your own laptop during your studies.
