The aim of the seminar ’How to build hope for sustainable future’ was to open up the concept of hope in relation to sustainability and to find out how to promote sustainability in education, what pedagogical methods enhance learning and acting for sustainability.

Keynote speakers included Regina Obexer of the Austrian MCI Entrepreneurial School and Crister Nyberg of Haaga-Helia. Almost 70  international guests and teacher students participated in the event.

In the afternoon, the seminar had reserved time for functional workshops. In the workshops, the participants were able to do, among other things, a "woolly thinking" exercise, which aimed at finding out the connections between the aims of sustainable development. The wool threads visualized the net of connections.

The seminar was organised by Haaga-Helia School of Vocational Teacher Education as part of it's international activities.
