Haaga-Helia's Moodle will be updated 26.6.-30.6.2023

During the update, Moodle will be unavailable, and in summer teaching, Moodle will be unavailable at the time mentioned. This has been taken into account in the teaching, and no assignments have been scheduled to be returned to Moodle during the break.

What will change?

• Moodle's user interface is renewed.
• Moodle gets a lot of new features.
• Redesigned for a faster, more reliable server (smoother operation).
• Updated Moodle guidelines

What is the situation now with Moodle 4?

Moodle 4 technical testing has been completed. The new Moodle has been tested by digipedamentors, and the final repairs are still being made based on them. Moodle 4 will move to the final implementation testing in the coming weeks, after which we will be ready to update our learning environment in the summer.

Anything else to note?

In the renewed Moodle, we will share instructions for use and guidance on how to use the new Moodle.

In Moodle, the functions do not change significantly from the student's point of view, but the appearance is renewed a lot. Familiar menus are renewed and replaced, but the functions themselves remain the same or have improved. We will provide more information about this at the end of May.
