Haaga-Helia changed mask recommendations - the use of the mask is based on your own discretion

The general mask recommendations were abandoned in the Helsinki metropolitan area on Wednesday, which is why Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences also updated its mask recommendations.

According to new recommendations at Haaga-Helia, the use of the mask will be based on everyone's own judgment. The mask is still recommended for use indoors, for example, where it is difficult to avoid close contact.

For the time being, Haaga-Helia will continue to distribute masks to staff and students.

The authorities recommend the use of the mask especially for people:

• who seeking treatment or testing for suspicion of corona
• who have symptoms of a respiratory infection but need to move outside the home
• who know they have been exposed to the coronavirus (e.g., infections have been reported in the family) and close contacts outside the home are unavoidable.
