Orientation Days

Welcome to the Business Information Technology degree as a student!

During the orientation days, you will get to know Haaga-Helia as a learning environment and meet the other ITBBA students. Tutors share their own study tips and the guidance counselor will also become familiar. You take over Haaga-Helia's most important tools and register for the autumn 2022 studies.

The orientation days will be held on the Haaga-Helia Pasila campus, address Ratapihantie 13, 00520 Helsinki in class room 3012. You will receive email in week 32, where there is information about your study group.

If you have previous university studies or knowledge accumulated elsewhere, ie credits from previous studies, make time for quick supervision even before the orientation days. The quick guidances will be held from 11 to 12 August 2022. Go to this link and select available guidance time. Then send email to your guidance councelor Liila Mäntylä Peuralinna with the information of what time did you choose. The guidance counselor is available from 8.8.

12:00-13:15 Information on Recognition of Prior Learning
13:30 – 15:30 Recognition of competence workshop

Tuesday 16.8. time 9:30-16:00 (room 3012)

9:30-10:00 IT orientation for students
10:00 – 13:00 Haaga-Helia's information systems and registration for the autumn courses. Representatives of the students' association for Business Information Technology students Atkins and the Student Association Helga will visit.
Lunch with tutors, agreeing on your own group schedule
Klo 13:30 – 16:00 Written Finnish RPL test for students with previous knowledge of Finnish

Wednesday 17.8. time 11-14 (room 3012)

11:00-14:00 Getting to know Pasila Campus and each other and lunch with tutors
14:15 – 16:15 RPL test in Introduction to ICT Infrastructure and Cloud Service
14:30 Get-together (depending on the situation)

Thursday 18.8. time 9:00 – 15:00 (room 3011)

9:00-11:00 RPL test in Introduction to Software Development
12:00-13:00 RPL test in Introduction to Digital Services
9:00-15:00 Oral Finnish RPL test for students with previous knowledge of Finnish
