Haaga-Helia is a highly business orientated university of applied sciences in Finland. Our roots are in business and we are professionals with truly international mindset. Haaga-Helia is home to a diverse student population, bringing together around 11 400 students from 113 countries around the world. Our campuses are located in Helsinki (Pasila, Haaga, and Malmi), Porvoo, and Vierumäki.

With us, you can study in bachelor's and master's degree programmes. Our fields of study are business administration, information technology, hospitality and tourism, and sports management. You can also complete smaller study entities or study individual courses at our Open University of Applied Sciences. We also offer professional teacher education.

Application fee
Starting from 1 January 2025, applicants who are not citizens of the EU, EEA or Switzerland are required to pay an application fee in order to apply to higher education studies. Read more about the application fee on Studyinfo.

Haaga-Helia offers several Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes conducted in English language. The study options are available in the Opintopolku.fi service, and the admission criteria may include English language requirements. Always check the eligibility criteria and other specific admission criteria for each study option in Opintopolku.fi. You can apply in Joint application with Certificate-based selection.
If you have a specific programme in mind, you can apply to certain Bachelor’s degree programmes through Haaga-Helia’s own separate Rolling admission with SAT score-based selection or Certificate-based selection. Please notice that eligibility criteria in Joint application’s Certificate-based selection and in Rolling Admission’s Certificate-based selection differ from each other.
For Master’s studies, you can apply if you have a relevant higher education degree and at least two years of work experience after graduation. Either the degree or the work experience must be in the required field.
You can apply with GMAT/GRE test for the Master’s studies, if you have a relevant higher education degree and at least two years of work experience after graduation. Either the degree or the work experience must be in the required field.
If you have previous UAS studies, you can apply through the Open Path application to become a degree student. You need to have completed at least 45 credits (with a minimum GPA of 3.00) in the Open UAS or from your previous unfinished UAS degree.
You can also apply through transfer application to Haaga-Helia if you are currently studying and have a study right in a Finnish higher education institution in a degree programme in the same language and corresponding field.
Haaga-Helia offers blended and online learning options designed for working professionals. You can study flexibly according to your own schedule and apply what you learn directly in your work.
Haaga-Helia’s Open UAS provides the opportunity to study individual courses or path studies without prior educational requirements. Once you have completed enough credits (with a minimum GPA of 3.00), you can apply for a degree programme through the Open Path application. Alternatively, if you are admitted through the joint application, you can include the courses you have already completed in your degree. Always check the specific admission criteria for each study option in Opintopolku.fi.
Applications to Haaga-Helia’s Professional Teacher Education are submitted through a national application process. The application period takes place at the beginning of the year.
