Starting level and linkage with other courses
Student has a business idea or an existing business and has completed DEM or has shown similar competences in some other way.

Learning objectives and assessment
Student can advance his/her business idea or existing business using relevant tools and approaches and identifying own entrepreneurial style. Student recognizes relevant stakeholders for his/her business. Student acquires knowledge of customer needs. During the process, he/she selects the sources of information, plans the gathering of information and takes the first practical actions in the field. Student evaluates the potential of his/her business idea and based on that makes the go/no-go decision and takes the next steps. Student with the existing business evaluates its sustainability and acts accordingly.

Working life connections
The key driver of the course is the student’s business idea or existing business that will be coached by an experienced staff member.

Internationality
Internationality is visible through the assignments.

Contents
Student can take 1 to 4 coaching courses.

Student will do a personal/team plan for each coaching course based on the StartUp School’s competence areas and discussions with the coach. Student implements the plan and after completing all the coaching courses he/she has covered the following areas: self-leadership, communication, offering development, numbers, legal issues, determination, risk management, team building and operations. Student starts networking with stakeholders, develops his/her business ideas into action, starts contacting potential customers, tests and pilots his/her business idea. Student with existing business develops it further.

Learning methods
Each coaching course includes approximately five coaching meetings and individual work between the meetings. NOTE! Student participates either in individual coaching or Future Track (group coaching). This is always agreed upon with the student.

Assessment
The course is graded on the scale 1-5. The assessment criterion is presented on scale 1-3-5. For detailed assessment criteria, please see SUS Base.
