Ph.D (econ. & bus. adm.) Timo-Pekka Uotila works as collaboration manager at StartUp School, where he is leading the development of both external and internal relations.
Timo-Pekka’s dissertation focused on managers’ cognitions on performance of the firm. His main area of expertise is human capital and its relation to performance of the firm. Other areas of expertise include performance and competence management, leading change, and leadership.
Prior to his position as collaboration manager, Timo-Pekka has worked in various practical research projects conducted jointly with companies. He is a strong advocate of coaching leadership, and he has been involved in training, developing, and coaching leaders and managers.
Timo-Pekka has participated in scientific discussion by publishing conference papers and attending conferences (such as Strategic Management Society, European Academy of Management), and by writing and co-writing research papers for academic journals as well as writing chapters for research books. He has edited a book focusing on competence management, too. In addition, Timo-Pekka is a co-founder in a startup working within peacetech field.
