Mr. Jouni Soitinaho is currently working as a Principal Lecturer at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences. His expertise relates to information systems management and development and mobile technology innovations. His licentiate thesis concerned semantic matching of natural language queries in peer-to-peer networks using latent concept analysis. He’s a holder of several mobile technology related patents.

Prior to starting the new career in the academia in 2010, Jouni Soitinaho worked some 25 years in product and service development, most recently at Nokia data services and venturing for more than 10 years. His expertise in business information systems is based on almost 10 years’ experience with banking systems development and management.

In his current role as Principal Lecturer and Head of Information Systems Management, Jouni Soitinaho coaches Master students in the field of applied research and development, and develops curricula and new learning methods. His research interest is related to digital business innovation and transformation.
