Internationalization and Cultural Diversity and Sensitivity in Vocational Teacher Education
The focus of ICC-activities
ICC-group focuses on internationalization and cultural changes from two perspectives. On the one hand internationalization is a way of working together with our international partners and on the other hand it is the content of activity.
The first approach means shared research projects and other development activities on themes that are relevant to vocational teacher education within partner universities. The potential themes for research and development projects might be:
- competence and community based curricula,
- guidance and counseling,
- learning at work,
- invisible (informal) learning
The other approach focuses on internationalization and cultural changes as the content of activity. The potential themes for research and development projects might be:
- multicultural teacher education (cooperation between English and Finnish teacher education groups in AOKK; action research on International Vocational Teacher Education program)
- on-the-job-learning in multicultural environments
- multicultural pedagogy in Vocational Education and Training
- multicultural guidance and counseling in Vocational Education and Training
RDI activities
- research and development projects with international partners
- benchmarking of good practices
- seminars and workshops
