No prereguisites. Students need to be familiar with solving equations and basic percentage calculations.
Upon successful completion of the course, the student knows how to use correct and efficient mathematical methods when analysing basic business related problems.
At the course end the student will be able to use general recurrent mathematical methods needed in business, calculate and evaluate the effects of currency fluctuations and conduct simple and compound interest calculations.
The course contains business-based examples.
The course will be held as a virtual course except for the exam. Students need to familiarize themselves with the course materials available in Moodle, the course book and any possible material given during the course. The student also should participate on the discussion in Moodle, work on the independent exercises available in Moodle and return the weekly homework exercises according to the course schedule.
Accreditation of prior learning is observed on the course according to separate instructions.
