HAAGA HELIA University of Applied Sciences selected its advertising agency partner

HAAGA-HELIA University of Applied Sciences invited tenders from advertising agencies at the end of 2010. It received tenders from a total of 15 agencies, of which it selected Advertising Agency Fiander as its new partner.

The basis of HAAGA-HELIA University of Applied Sciences’ operations are the needs of the business sector, which it addresses through working-life oriented academic education. Employers have been highly interested in the students of HAAGA-HELIA.

- The focus in the joint application scheme this spring is on communicating about the working-life oriented nature of our education. The students qualifying from HAAGA-HELIA are service, sales and business oriented experts whose employment prospects are very good. That is why our slogan is ”HAAGA-HELIA opens doors to working life”, says Ari Nevalainen, Communications Manager of HAAGA-HELIA.

- By inviting competitive tenders, we wanted to strengthen our already strong presence among the major stakeholders, which comprise young people, and adult students who have already found a job. We want to establish the profile of a versatile, leading higher education institution in the fields of education that we offer, says Nevalainen.

HAAGA-HELIA offers its students the capabilities required for life-long learning and for developing their skills at work. The students of HAAGA-HELIA can complete basic and higher polytechnic degrees, an MBA programme and specialisation studies, and participate in higher teacher education and research and development activities. HAAGA-HELIA also offers courses in English, for which candidates are sought from Finland and abroad. In addition, HAAGA-HELIA exports educational services especially to countries outside Europe.

HAAGA-HELIA’s new partner, Advertising Agency Fiander, employs 11 persons and its other customers include VR Transpoint and the City of Espoo.
