HAAGA-HELIA develops Sales and Service training
The HAAGA-HELIA University of Applied Sciences has started a new training project for sales and service. The Sales and Service Skills project anticipates sales and service activities in 2025. Furthermore, HAAGA-HELIA is launching a sales and service training certificate, which will be available to all HAAGA-HELIA students in the future. The goal is that everyone graduating from HAAGA-HELIA in the future will have strong expertise in service and sales. HAAGA-HELIA will also offer supplementary training aiming at a certificate.
The Sales and Service Skills project management group is chaired by Mervi Angerma-Niittylä from the Federation of Finnish Commerce.
”The importance of sales and service competence will increase in the future. Finnish shops cannot necessarily compete against international retail chains in terms of prices. This is why we need to focus on excellent service. Training projects such as the one at HAAGA-HELIA play an important role in this,” says training specialist Angerma-Niittylä from the Federation of Finnish Commerce.
Other members of the management group represent organisations and companies from the key interest groups of HAAGA-HELIA.
”We are very happy that the project management group members consider sales and service competence development to be important”, says project manager Johanna Vuori from HAAGA-HELIA.
A total of 150 sales and service experts from different fields have been invited to participate in the future work of the project. The Delfoi method is used to collect information from the experts concerning future sales and service trends in both the consumer and B2B markets. After this, the experts will assemble in ten future workshops to evaluate the results. In addition to sales and logistics, future workshops will also be arranged for ICT, creative industries, the finance sector and tourism.
