From 17 November onwards, Finnish university students will have the chance to simulate their careers and life choices up until 2030.

Developed by the University of Turku, HAAGA-HELIA, Laurea and HAMK University of Applied Sciences, this simulation of future working life helps students perceive the change in the working life, consider various decision-making models and contemplate what is most important in their lives and careers.

The online simulation includes more than 800 alternatives based on expert knowledge and user experiences, asking the user to select his/her preferred option for each.

The future scenarios produced by the Finland Futures Research Centre at the University of Turku are based on visions of working life changes provided by companies and specialists.

Finnish university students are not automatically provided with career guidance – they need to actively seek advice. The simulation addresses this need by offering a tool that enables students to ponder their choices independently, regardless of time and place.
