The objectives of HAAGA-HELIA language teaching

a) International students

• You will acquire practical Finnish language skills, to manage everyday situations, where the Finnish language is used.
• You can act in one or more foreign languages verbally and in writing in work assignments that correspond to your education. 
• You understand the significance of cultural differences in communication. 
• You will get skills for life-long language learning.
  

b) Finnish students

• You will acquire Swedish language skills, which are required in Act (352/2003) from students in Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences.
• You can act in one or more foreign languages verbally and in writing in work assignments that correspond to your education. 
• You understand the significance of cultural differences in communication. 
• You will get skills for life-long language learning.

• Swedish 6 credit points (for Finnish students)
