Course Enrolment
Course lists for autumn semester are published in May and course lists for the spring semester in December. Enrolment period for courses is in the end of May (for courses in the autumn semester) and in the beginning of January (for courses in the spring semester).
Enrolment period for courses in the autumn semester 2010 starts 31 May 2010. Detailed guidelines for study planning and course registration can be found from the Exchange Student Guide. Please read the instructions through carefully before enrolment. Course registration is done online with the WinhaWille online course registration system.
Please note the following points when choosing the courses:
- Some courses have prerequisites (mentioned in the excel timetable)
- Do not choose courses which overlap (take into account the distance between campuses, see below)
- It is recommended not to take more than 35 ECTS
- HAAGA-HELIA has campuses in three different towns: Helsinki, Porvoo and Vierumäki. You can only select courses from the town in which you will live, because the distances are long: Porvoo is located 80km from Helsinki and Vierumäki 140km from Helsinki.

Learning Agreement
The learning agreement is a contract between the student and his home university and HAAGA-HELIA University of Applied Sciences. It ensures that your studies at HAAGA-HELIA will be recognised at your home university. It is the student's responsibility to ensure that this document is completed and signed by both the sending and the receiving university.
Fill in the learning agreement after the course registration at the WinhaWille system. If possible, get the stamp and signature from your home university to your learning agreement before coming to Finland. Bring the learning agreement to the orientation and you will get a signature and stamp of the receiving institution. If it is not possible to get a signature from your home university before arrival, please send the learning agreement back to your home university for a signature from Finland.
Finnish Language Studies
