Degree Programme Development Teams

HAAGA-HELIA's Cooperative Teams for specific degree programmes create a forum for discussion and the exchange of information between HAAGA-HELIA students and staff. The purpose of these teams, representing all parties related to studying, is to promote cooperation within HAAGA-HELIA, furnish opinions about issues related to degree programmes, teaching and practical arrangements, receive and provide briefings, focus on potential problem areas, and discuss alternative solutions to these problems. Teams also discuss the development of the study environment.

Organisation

Cooperative teams include, as student representatives, the official representatives of the student union HELGA and its subsidiary organisations, and representatives of different year courses of students in various degree programmes. The number of student representatives at meetings is not limited.

HAAGA-HELIA is represented at cooperative team meetings by the Director of the Degree Programme and student counsellors. Other persons interested in the subject under discussion are also welcome.

Meetings (YTY meetings)

Cooperative teams for specific degree programmes meet at least twice during each academic term. When necessary, it is possible to hold several meetings and/or joint meetings open to all of Helia.

Responsibilities

The team is an informal and open alliance with no official decision-making power, and the memoranda of meetings are published on web pages. Issues presented in meetings that require further action are directed to the persons in charge (either the staff or the student organisation) and they will be obligated to take measures and/or give a report on initiated actions at the next meeting.
